My son Caleb was born with severe developmental delays. We began physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and feeding therapy with him when he was less than one year old. By the time he was three years old, he still could not walk or speak or chew. Eventually he received diagnoses of cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, and autism. Medical professionals told us he would never walk and would be in a wheelchair the rest of his life. But I was determined he would walk. I devoted many hours per week to trying to teach him to put weight on his feet while supported by equipment. I worked hard to teach him to take even just one step while holding onto his walker. But after years of working with him, he not only could not walk, but exhibited extreme terror just trying to stand.
At the time, I was hosting a weekly prayer group in my home with other mothers through Moms in Prayer International. One day, we were praying for our children using Isaiah 41:13: “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” It suddenly occurred to me that Caleb struggled with massive fear. Then a thought dropped into my mind: “Caleb’s biggest struggle is not his muscle weakness or neurological deficiencies; his biggest problem is fear.” I realized that it was an extreme fear of falling, more than anything, that was holding Caleb back from walking. “Fear is not from God!” I thought. So I immediately started praying that God would remove Caleb’s fear and fill him with peace and love instead.
Over the next couple of weeks, my son began to change. He began to have more fun and exhibit more confidence as we tried to practice walking. And just two weeks after I prayed against fear, my son took his very first steps unassisted by me! He now walks completely unassisted and we have been able to get rid of his wheelchair, walker, and crutches!
Jesus delivered my son from fear and healed his body! He gave me revelation as to how to pray for my son. He took hold of Caleb’s hand and said, “Do not fear; I will help you.”
I will never forget what He has done for my son and for me! Thank you Jesus!

Thank you, Father, that you have promised you will take hold of my hand and help me. Thank you that I do not have to fear, because you are with me!
If anyone reading this struggles with fear, I bind the spirit of fear that is over them right now and command it to go, in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood! Holy Spirit, please fill them to overflowing with your LOVE right now. Let all fear be washed away by your overwhelming love.
If anyone reading this cannot walk or knows someone who cannot walk, I just release the healing power of the testimony over them and declare that if you’ve done it before, you can do it again! I speak to their legs and command them to be healed in the name of Jesus. I speak to their spirit and command hope and faith to arise!
Thank you for the healing power of the blood of Jesus. I release hope, faith, and healing over all who read this and I declare it is a new day for them in Christ! Amen!
