Thyroid Miracle from 08/08/08 to 08/08/18

Back in 2008 at a routine doctor’s appointment, I was told that my thyroid numbers were too high and that I should visit an endocrinologist for further testing. I did go to a specialist for further testing and was told that I had a thyroid disease called Graves. This was a form of hyperthyroidism in which your thyroid is over-stimulated which can cause weight loss, nervousness, anxiety, and rapid heartbeat along with other unpleasant symptoms. The reason they diagnosed it as Graves was because I had too many antibodies in the TSI test. Also, there were two nodules on my thyroid that they saw on a thyroid scan. They were small, so they didn’t need to be removed; they just wanted to scan it every so often and watch them. They prescribed some medication to calm down the thyroid, but I got very sick after taking the first dose, so I didn’t take them again for some time.

I was very upset and scared after the diagnosis and my spiritual mom set up a prayer time with herself and a good friend of hers for us to pray healing over this problem. The day we had prayer together was 8/8/08. Since “8” is the number of new beginnings in the Bible, I was very encouraged by having our prayer time on that day.

Therefore, on 8/8/08, I had a prayer time with my friends, Judy and Donna, at Judy’s house. Donna had a prophetic word for me in which she heard God say, “She does not have Graves Disease; she has anxiety.” The three of us had a wonderful prayer time and both of my friends had a vision of me running to Jesus every time I felt anxious and they both saw my brown hair flowing with the wind as I ran to Jesus.

I chose to believe what God was saying, and from that moment on, I claimed that I did not have that disease and refused to call it that. I even told one of my doctors what God had said, and he said there was no way those tests were incorrect. I continued to run to Jesus over my overanxious thoughts, which formed a habit which I still have to this day. My thyroid, unfortunately, continued to run fast most of the time, which caused physical and emotional problems. It felt as though my thoughts and body were going a thousand miles per minute, and sometimes it caused me to nervously talk very fast and also feel like I couldn’t just be still. I did eventually take the thyroid medication for a period of time, and it did not make me as sick the second time around; however, it did cause stomach pains, which were very unpleasant. I continued to pray and stand for my healing.

Then on 8/08/2018, exactly 10 years later to the day of the prayer meeting in which God said I did not have that disease, I attended a church service about an hour north of Atlanta called Glory City Atlanta. It is connected to Katherine Ruonala’s ministry in Australia. She was there preaching that night and she had a word of knowledge concerning someone with a thyroid issue. I raised my hand and they prayed for me and I was totally healed! I went to my doctor and my thyroid numbers were in the normal range for the first time in years. It has been two years now, and every time they test me, all of the blood work comes back normal.

Not long ago, I was having a checkup at my doctor’s and I was testifying how God healed my thyroid and all my results were still normal, and they pointed out that there had not been a recent thyroid scan and wanted me to go to the specialist and have that scan done. I agreed because I wanted closure and proof to everyone. I set up an appointment with the endocrinologist and they did extensive blood work and once again EVERYTHING came back normal. I told the doctor I was healed, and he just looked at me like I was crazy. He then sent me back for a thyroid scan and the technician could not find one of the nodules at all and the other one was so tiny it was considered insignificant. I asked the specialist afterwards if during my blood tests they had included an antibody test which was what had originally determined the Graves Disease. He promptly told me that there is never any reason to do the antibody test again because that never changes. I asked if we could do it again. He agreed and guess what? That antibody test also returned perfectly in the NORMAL range. Therefore, I am COMPLETELY HEALED of the thyroid disorder, praise God!

Thank you Father that you are a healer! Thank you that Jesus paid the ultimate price at the cross for everyone to be made whole in every area of their lives and to be forgiven for all their sins. I pray for all those reading this that every sickness and pain be gone from their bodies in the name of Jesus. Father, make them whole emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Give them the desires of their hearts and cause them to know how much you love them! In the wonderful name of Jesus, AMEN!
